Customer Appreciation Day

Mike Stevenson and Alvina Butti, owners of Knee Deep Cattle Company welcomed their customers and friends to the Coburg, Oregon ranch for a Sunday BBQ.

Mike and Alvina spoke to the vistiors about raising and marketing of their beef products to businesses and individuals. Mike turned the talk over to Pam Detering for a talk concerning the genetics of cattle and the importance of choosing brood stock for producing the best offspring for meat production. Mike then introduced Jim Weseloh, ranch manager of the coastal cattle operation out of Florence, Oregon who explained the flow of bringing the cattle from birth to market.

After a question and answer period, visitors were treated to a steak BBQ including salads, fruits and dessert.
